Symptoms Observed in Melanoma
A dark brownish spot is mostly observed in melanoma; the spot appears with dark speckles. Unusual moles, lumps, and blemishes can be formed. A very common sign of melanoma is the formation of a new spot on the skin that changes its size, shape, and color. The spot appears to be different than other spots.
It can be flat or slightly raised and discolored. It can have an asymmetrical patch with uneven borders. The colors of melanoma include tan, brown, black, and red.
Redness can be formed or new swelling that causes itching, along with pain. The surface of mole changes, scaliness, oozing, and bleeding with lump type appearance can be observed.
In melanoma skin cancer, the mole becomes cancerous, which leads to change in its color, size, and feel. The mole also bleeds, and the small lesions with irregular border and portions are formed. The portions appear red, pink, and white. The lesions can show itching and burning sensation. Dark lesions are formed on palms, soles, and mucus membrane lining of different body parts like mouth, nose, and anus.
