Alcohol or drug abuse
It is quite common for the people having bipolar disorder to use drugs and alcohol to be more adventurous or to tame down their depressing thoughts. A majority of the bipolar disorder patients try to self-medicate with alcohol and drugs leading to more health and behavioral issues. Alcohol and drugs abuse tend to ease the episodes of mania and depression at first which somehow explains why a lot of people having bipolar disorder fall prey to addiction.
