Itching or Pruritis
Itchy skin is medically known as puritis resulting due to skin rashes. There are certain areas on the skin that become extremely dry and cause the constant sensation of itching in a person suffering from skin rashes. Itchy skin is more common among older adults as the skin tends to dry out with advancing age. The skin might appear red, scaly, rough, bumpy, or normal depending upon the cause of itching in a person. Certain skin conditions can also cause excessive itchiness all over the body.
