Common Causes Of Skin Rash

Following are some common causes of skin rashes to appear in some people:

Contact dermatitis

Contact dermatitis is one of the most commonly occurring causes of skin rashes in majority of the people. The type of skin rash resulting due to contact dermatitis occurs due to the direct contact of skin with a foreign surface or substance. When the skin comes into direct contact with foreign substances, it results in an adverse reaction on upper layer of the skin. The resulting rash might be red, swollen, or itchy. Some of the possible causes of contact dermatitis are:

• Dyes in clothes
• Laundry detergents
• Beauty products like soaps or lotions
• Coming into direct contact with chemicals in latex, elastic, or rubber
• Contacting poisonous plants, such as poison sumac, poison oak, or poison ivy
