This disease is triggered by thrombus formation in your blood vessels. Thus, anticoagulant management is considered the mainstream therapy to reduce the risk and prevent disease progression. However, anticoagulant therapy is also risky and should be prescribed very carefully. Thus, you might need to spend some time with your doctor and return to the doctor’s office several times to adjust the dose according to your results.
In some cases, patients will start with oral anticoagulant therapy right away. In others, doctors may choose to begin with parenteral therapy and then continue with oral treatment.
