Massage Relief
Massage is an excellent way to relieve muscle cramps and is sometimes recommended for specific injuries. If you have a severe condition such as fractures or an Achilles muscle tear, it might not be a good idea to massage the area, though. Talk to your doctor in such cases to find the most appropriate home treatment for you.
Self-massages are usually effective in cases of lower leg pain, and you can also use a roller ball or foam roller on your calves. There are different massage modalities, and they can be performed before and after physical activity to prevent delayed onset muscle soreness.
