A lot of people with vaginas who acquire the gonorrhea infection do not show any symptoms. However, if they do, the symptoms of gonorrhea start to show up within almost a week after encountering the infection. Some commonly occurring symptoms of gonorrhea among women include:

  • Bleeding before or after periods
  • Sensation of burning or pain when you are peeing
  • A bloody or yellowish discharge coming abnormally from the vagina

A lot of people having a vagina do not experience any symptoms of gonorrhea infection. Although symptoms start developing somewhere from a day to so many weeks later after the exposure to gonorrhea causing bacteria. The symptoms of gonorrhea are mostly mild to moderate.   • Painful or burning sensations while urinating
  • Increased urge to urinate
  • Soreness in the anus
  • Rectal discharge or bleeding
  • Sharp pain in the lower abdomen
  • Heavier periods between menses
  • Painful vaginal intercourse
  • More frequent blood spotting during and between periods
