Gonococcal Conjunctivitis or Eyes Gonorrhea
Gonorrhea can also result in a fever and might also spread to your eyes. Widespread gonorrhea typically occurs if an infected person touches the site of the infection or his genitals and then touches his eyes before washing the hands thoroughly. Some symptoms of gonorrhea of the eye include:
- Eye redness and inflammation
- Swelling in the eyelids
- Eye irritation, tenderness, and pain
- Stringy yellow or white mucus gathering around the eyes
