Anemia
Low red blood cell count or anemia also results as a side effect of some chemotherapy drugs as they are targeting the healthy red blood cells along with the cancer cells. Also, some chemotherapy drugs make it difficult for the bone marrow to form new red blood cells thus leading to anemia.
