Heavier menstrual periods
Excess bleeding during menstrual periods or menstruation that lasts longer than regular periods are worth mentioning to your doctor as it could be due to cervical cancer. For instance, if your normal periods last for 5 days and you experience bleeding for a week or more, it indicates that there is something wrong going on at your uterus level that needs to be evaluated on urgent basis.
If you have any of the above-mentioned risk factors, pay close attention to your bleeding changes between the periods and after menopause.
