18 Warning Signs and Symptoms of Bronchitis

Both acute and chronic bronchitis develop almost similar signs and symptoms. These include;

Fever

Low-grade fever that ranges from 100-102 F could be the initial sign of acute bronchitis. It develops as a protective mechanism against a disease-causing pathogen that invades the respiratory tract and causes bronchitis. Usually, the fever is continuous in nature and resolves by taking antipyretics and antibiotics in case of bacterial infection and spontaneously in 5-6 days in case of viral infection.

If your fever becomes chronic (take a week or longer) and also associated with other signs like weight loss and chronic cough, it might be due to some other respiratory conditions like lung tuberculosis or sarcoidosis. Consult your health care provider for further evaluation and diagnosis.
