Digital clubbing
Clubbing is a clinical sign which involves enlargement of the ends of the fingers. Digital clubbing can be a potential sign of coexisting lung cancer or other lung disorders in patients with COPD. First apparent sign of clubbing is sponginess of the nail bed resulting loss of the nail bed angle. Nailbed may also become shiny. Visit your doctor as soon as possible if you observe any change in shape or color of nails.
