Some brain trauma, such as a head blow or stroke, can increase the risk of dementia. Practising head safety, such as always wearing a helmet and seat belt can lower the risk of brain injury and resultant mental conditions like dementia and Alzheimer’s. And minimizing this risk factor will also help avoid other conditions such as stroke.
