Subpubic palpable mass
Subpubic palpable mass can be found in the bladder cancer patient. Your doctor may have to perform an examination under anesthesia to evaluate whether a palpable mass is present. It is also important to note if it is fixed or mobile. A nonmobile palpable mass shows that the disease has spread to the pelvic sidewall and cannot be resected.
A complete physical examination has to be done which may include an examination of the vagina and rectum. Laboratory tests which are ordered may include a urine test known as urinalysis. A procedure called cystoscopy may also be required to check for any possible obstruction in the urinary tract.
