Decrease in appetite
A loss of appetite is caused by a condition called “cachexia”. It is metabolic change caused by cancer resulting in unexplained weight loss and decreased appetite. Dietitians may advise appetite stimulants and vitamin supplementation to cancer patients in order to compensate for less intake of food. Patient education and daily monitoring is also very important for improvement of health of the patient.
