Exercises and stretching

Staying active will help a lot with the muscular weakness in the patient of SMA. Exercising and stretching for a few minutes daily can significantly help make the joints more robust and stop their stiffness through the disease’s progression. You can also visit a physiotherapist to aid with the exercising and stretching the body if you can not do it on your own. Although children’s and adults’ physical activity levels might differ depending on the severity of the symptoms, remaining active is the goal for all SMA patients.
