Muscular Weakness
As the name indicates, spinal muscular atrophy is a disorder that results in gradual muscle wasting and makes the muscle weaker day by day. The muscle mass keeps on getting lesser in the patient of SMA. The muscular weakness results in difficulty in moving and causes low balance. The voluntary muscles suffer more from the muscular weakness in the case of SMA. The kids with SMA face the difficulty of muscle development and cause shrinking of muscles.
