Thick Skin
A pile up of dead skin tissues in layers can cause your skin to become thick. It is especially true in case of plaque psoriasis where you might notice the inflamed patches of the skin cells appear thicker than nearby healthy skin.
Two common skin conditions cause thinning of the skin; eczema and psoriasis. Comparatively, the thickness is more in psoriasis than eczema due to stimulation of skin cells to produce more new cells.
