Stress
The immune system may respond to mental and emotional pressures the same way it does to physical pressures like infections and injuries. Therefore, stress and anxiety can be a trigger for psoriasis flare-ups. According to a recent study by the American Dermatology Association, stress was found to have a significant impact on the flare-ups of many skin as well as other body conditions. Other studies also suggest that stress may cause or exacerbate the already developed psoriasis.
