Step-up exercises strengthen your legs, making it easier for you to perform everyday tasks like climbing stairs. Use a bottom stair of your house or an exercise step can be used.

  1. Stand in front of the stair or step with feet hip-width apart.
  2. Step onto the stairs using your right foot and then lift your left foot.
  3. Step down in reverse, by using your left foot to reach the ground first and then the right foot.
  4. Repeat for about 30 seconds at a time. Use a railing for balance.
  5. Perform 10 times, twice a day.
