Build Up Your Leg Muscles
Step-up exercises strengthen your legs, making it easier for you to perform everyday tasks like climbing stairs. Use a bottom stair of your house or an exercise step can be used.
- Stand in front of the stair or step with feet hip-width apart.
- Step onto the stairs using your right foot and then lift your left foot.
- Step down in reverse, by using your left foot to reach the ground first and then the right foot.
- Repeat for about 30 seconds at a time. Use a railing for balance.
- Perform 10 times, twice a day.
