Autoimmune Thyroiditis
Autoimmune thyroiditis is a condition of the abnormal immune system and seeks the destruction of thyroid gland products i-e, T3, T4, and TSH hormones. The immune cells also attack and destroy the thyroid gland cells. This autoimmune disorder can also lead to the development of alopecia areata and disrupt hair follicles.
