Amyloidosis (Overview, Symptoms, Diagnosis, Causes, Treatment)

Family History

Some of the types of amyloidosis run into family genetics; this type of amyloidosis is hereditary amyloidosis. Hereditary amyloidosis passes on from one generation to another. The cause is a mutated or faulty gene, which produces an abnormal sequence of amino acids in individuals. Hereditary ATTR amyloidosis (hATTR) is the hereditary amyloidosis, which happens due to the TTR amyloid resulting in abnormal protein build-up. The carriers of the mutated genes show their amyloidosis symptoms in their adulthood.
