The patients having less amyloid destruction can go for surgery. The surgery mainly involves the liver, kidney, or heart transplant to improve the quality of life for the patient. According to doctors, surgery is one of the good options if a patient has localized amyloidosis. It is due to the fact that it is easy to remove a part or a complete organ in the body.

However, surgery is not an option for patients with systemic amyloidosis. As this condition involves more than one organ and systems, it is impossible to do any type of surgical intervention. Aforementioned treatment options, such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy are more suitable options for people suffering from systemic amyloidosis.
