Foods that can cause diarrhea or gas should be avoided, such as:

  • Fatty or hot foods, raw natural products and vegetables, spicy foods, caffeinated drinks, such as coffee and soda beans cabbage.

However, diarrhea is more likely to occur in developing countries due to poor sanitation and dirty water. Public health bodies can reduce diarrhea rates by a third by encouraging hand-washing.
