Osgood-Schlatter’s Disease
Osgood-Schlatter’s disease usually occurs in young adults and children when the bones and other associated structures of the knee suffer from a painful bump under the knee joint. In the case of younger people, when the bones are still developing and changing, overuse of the knee joints during sports or exercising irritates the bumps further. The bumps usually appear on the area when the tendon attaches to the kneecap below the knee to the shin bone. Teenage boys and suffer most from this condition and this pain might come and go with time.
