Knee osteoarthritis is a condition which appears as a result of wearing and tearing of the cartilage surrounding the knee joint. Knee osteoarthritis is usually more common among older adults over the age of 50 years. Moreover, when the cartilage starts to deteriorate, there is development of pain too. The dull, aching, and constant pain in the knee joint gradually turns into a sharp pain which gets worse with knee movements.
