Blood is a living tissue that circulates in the blood vessels and contains solid and liquids components.The salts, water and proteins are present in liquid part – known as plasma. The solid part is made up of several different types of cells that include red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets.
Most of the blood diseases affect these blood cells that make up the solid part of blood. Mutations in the genes are one of main causes of blood diseases that run in families.
There may be some other reasons for the development of blood diseases such as adverse effects of medications,metabolic diseases, and deficiency of essential nutrients in the diet.
