Hemochromatosis
It mostly affects the liver, pancreas, and heart because of the extra amount of iron pile up in these organs of the body. It may be inherited or not. The most common symptoms of hemochromatosis are diabetes, impotence, fatigue, joint pain, liver failure, memory fog, etc. Mostly these disease occurs in men after 40 years of age and after 60 years in the female.
This disease mostly caused due to mutation in genes because the amount of iron cannot control or completely absorbed in the body. Like if some inherit only one abnormal gene, he unlikely to develop this disease, but if he inherits two abnormal genes, then there is more risk of developing this disease in the body.
The treatment may include regular removal of blood from the body because the iron is present in the blood, so if we removed blood regularly, then there will be a low risk of having sufficient iron in the body.
