Torn cartilage

An injury to the knee can tear the pads of connective tissue that enhance stability and act as shock absorbers i.e., the menisci. The tearing of the cartilage most often occurs due to the sprains. This condition is very common in older adults and the treatment might involve the use of a brace, especially during an activity to save the knee from further injury.
