What are the sure signs of rheumatoid arthritis?
- Morning stiffness of the joints for over 1 hour.
- Arthritis of 3 or more joints.
- Arthritis of hand and wrist joints.
- Symmetrical arthritis that affects the same areas of the body on both sides.
- Rheumatoid nodules should be tested by biopsy.
- Positive rheumatoid factor.
- Joints changes in the X-ray
- Bone erosion and loss of joint space.
- Osteoporosis
- These criteria should be persisted for more than 6 weeks.
- The diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis is made with 4 or more criteria.
