As we know that hemophilia has many types. Each type has different clotting factors missing or present in less amount than usual. Type A occurs due to a lack of factor VIII, while B occurs due to a lack of clotting factor IX. Hemophilia C equally affects men and women. People who belong to certain ethnicities have more chances of developing hemophilia. Indiana Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center reported that hemophilia C mostly affects people belongs to Ashkenazi Jewish descent. People who belong to other ethnic groups can also get the disease.
