Dry Eyes
Some patients go through a reduction in tear product post-LASIK which can lead to a foreign body feeling, ocular discomfort, or blurred vision. Patients already with a dry eye disease are actually not the perfect candidates for LASIK surgery at the first place. Therefore, the dry eye disorder patients must opt for other refractive surgery options like the implantation of phakic IOLs. Although dry eye is usually temporary but it is one of the most commonly occurring complications after LASIK surgery.
