Probiotic Drinks
There are various types of healthy and tasteful probiotics drinks available now to obtain them from products other than yogurt. Probiotics have several benefits, in balancing your gut flora and overall digestive functioning, so it’s good to make them part of your daily routine. But it’s not always possible or convenient to eat yogurt or take supplements. In those cases, you may drink your way to digestive health.
Butter Milk
Also known as Grandma’s probiotic, this tart liquid is traditionally used probiotic which contains live cultures. But always remember that heating buttermilk – during cooking – destroys the live bacteria.
Ingredients
Curd: 1 cup
Green chili: 1/2, optional
Cumin powder: 1 tsp
Water: 1 glass
Method
Put all the above ingredients in a blender and give it a whirl. This drink has a slightly sour taste due to the presence of lactic acid.
