Loss Of Appetite
Anorexia or appetite loss is another non-specific, yet a common symptom of hepatitis C. It occurs secondary to the inflammation of the liver caused by the hepatitis C virus. This cause a rise of inflammatory chemicals and mediators in the blood that causes loss of appetite.
Consult your doctor if you are experiencing loss of appetite along with other signs and symptoms of hepatitis C. Also be sure to discuss this with your nutritionist or dietitian if you are experiencing significant weight loss.
