Foods to avoid

Triggers for Rosacea flare-up might consist of food sometimes. Not all (or any) of such foods are triggers for everyone but various foods might lead to inflammation of the skin in several ways. (11) Here ere are some foods in the following to avoid or cut down on the risk of a flare-up:

Alcohol

Research has been shown that alcohol can cause irritation and inflammation of the outermost skin layer, known as keratinocytes. This is because the stress on the skin might cause a histamine response, where inflammation is not a fortunate side effect. That said, not all kinds of alcohol can affect your skin similarly. Some people have found that beer does not lead to flare-ups such as how other kinds of alcohol might. This might be because of the anti-inflammatory substances present in hops that are used to brew beer.
