Microneedling
Microneedling is used for treating acne scars. In this treatment, a dermaroller is used. A dermaroller consist of very tiny pins in order to puncture the skin and stimulate collagen production. Collagen is a protein that boosts skin strength and heals acne scars. The incisions made by the dermaroller also help the creams and serums to absorb properly into the skin. Microneedling is a slow process and it takes time to heal acne scars. As a precaution, the dermaroller should always be sterilized with an antiseptic because it can spread bacteria across the face causing more acne.
