The hand surgery can lead to open wounds which increase the risk of impaired blood supply to the fingers and thus lead to the condition of Dupuytren’s contracture. The chances of getting Dupuytren’s contracture are three times higher in the people having a hand surgery due to whatever reason. The infections increase the risk of stiffening of connective tissues and lead to the development of modules. The open wounds cause the tendons and ligaments in your palm and fingers to become stiff and inflexible, thus refraining the fingers to move properly.
