The patient has an abnormal thyroid function at higher risk of developing Dupuytren’s contracture. In both the cases of hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism, the inflammation of fibroblasts and tendons is present. The condition of Dupuytren’s contracture is 17 per cent higher in the patients who are suffering from hypothyroidism to cause lower production of thyroid hormones leads to poor blood circulation towards the hands which cause limited mobility of the fingers.
