According to a study in 2017 involving hundreds of patients find a possible genetic relation between autoimmune conditions and Parkinson’s disease. Some autoimmune disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis might lead to some symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. The researchers looking into the health records in Taiwan report that the group of people having autoimmune disorder specifically rheumatoid arthritis are at a 1.37 higher risk of having Parkinson’s disease as well.
