Parkinson’s disease affects the sense of smell (anosmia) in some patients and they are no longer able to smell fragrances or certain foods very well. If a person is facing trouble in smelling foods like licorice, bananas, or dill pickle, they he must visit a doctor for Parkinson’s disease. However, the sense of smell can also suffer from stuffy nose or a cold but it gets normal with time not like Parkinson’s disease in which the patient is not able to enjoy the smell of foods and other stuff.
