Inflammation and immune response
The triggering of dopamine degeneration in Parkinson’s disease is due to various factors that results due to both environmental and endogenous elements. Immune responses and inflammation are significant mediators of dopamine degeneration. According to a study involving a large group of population, people who take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) carry less risk of developing Parkinson’s disease. The inflammatory changes and hyper-active immune responses play a huge in causing the degeneration of dopamine which leads to Parkinson’s disease.
