Parkinson’s disease also affects the facial muscles thus leading to a mad, depressed, or serious look on people’s faces. The smooth muscles of face are not able to maintain balance I their movements which causes a masked face in people with Parkinson’s disease. The drooping of facial muscles in generally known as facial masking and the person affecting has no control over his facial expressions. In case of progressed stages of Parkinson’s disease, some patients get a staring or serious look which is quite scary for others.
