Studies in the past suggest that Parkinson’s disease is less likely to have an impact on black people in comparison to people of other ethnicities all over the world. However, some experts now explain that the less reporting of Parkinson’s disease in black people is usually due to a lack of awareness among the black community. Another reason behind under-reporting of Parkinson’s disease in black people might be due to higher chances of misdiagnosis due to injustice in health provisions. Researchers and doctors don’t understand what is the exact cause behind the development of Parkinson’s disease. It is also not sure that why the progression of Parkinson’s disease is different among each individual. Therefore, it is quite unclear how to prevent the progression of the disease. [5]
