Binge eating disorder is associated with episodes of binge eating in which people consume large quantities of food in a short period, feel a sense of loss of control over their eating habits and are stressed about the binge behavior. Unlike people with bulimia nervosa, they don’t use any compensatory behaviors to get rid of excess food such as vomit, fasting, exercising, or misusing laxatives. Chronic binge eating can cause serious health complications, including obesity, hypertension, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. [6]

A binge eating disorder is diagnosed by frequent binges (at least once in a week for three  months), accompanied by a feeling of lack of control and three or even more of the following symptoms
