Symptoms Of Pica
Pica is different from the normal behavior of babies and young children, who put several objects in their mouths. Pica patients will persist in eating nonfood items. Eating involves more than sampling or observing behaviors.
Pica may also cause a wide range of other symptoms, such as:
- Stomach pain
- Damaged or broken teeth
- Bloody stool
- Lead poisoning
