Foods to Avoid in Fever
Fever, flu, and sore throat make it very difficult to consume food. Energy is required for the body to recover from sickness, for which nutrient-dense food must be consumed. However, not all types of food can make you feel better. Some food items must be avoided when you have a fever or flu.
Caffeinated Drinks and Alcohol
No doubt that in fever, staying dehydrated is recommended, but caffeine and alcohol can make the symptoms worse and elevate the temperature. Stomach related issues can also be increased after consumption of alcohol; therefore, caffeine and alcohol should be avoided in fever.
