Athlete’s foot
Athletes foot is also known as tinea pedis. It is a contagious fungal infection, which is mostly found among athletes. Athlete’s foot is caused by a fungal infection called tinea fungus. This infection might cause a blister, peeling of skin or itching, which causes foot pain. Since fungus grows quickly in warm environments, the creases of the foot provide a favorable environment.
