Inflammation
The condition of varicose veins makes the vein to swell, and the resulting inflammation can also lead to blood clotting in that particular vein. The inflammation in the veins is medically known as phlebitis, and as the reason for inflammation is varicose veins, so it is known as varicophlebitis. At the same time, the inflammation of veins for a long period causes a great deal of pain and difficulty in walking for the affected person. The inflammation of veins usually occurs in the areas of legs, and it can lead to other problems, too, like clotting of blood and reduced blood circulation to the limbs.
