Zinc is fortunately safe when you consume it within the recommended amounts during pregnancy. But it is more unsafe when you use it in higher doses. The women who are over the age of 18 years should not consume more than 40 mg of zinc daily and the women between 14 to 18 years of age must not consume more than 34 mg per day during pregnancy.
