Nausea and Persistent Vomiting
As the condition progresses, the symptoms often appear to deteriorate. The early-stage disease can occasionally cause nausea and vomiting, but this is typically not a chronic issue. However, once the disease has advanced, nausea and vomiting become persistent and much more severe. The cause of this symptom may be inflammation, which irritates the stomach enough to induce vomiting. Inflammation can also cause scarring in the small intestine, which can obstruct the digestive tract, leading to nausea and vomiting.
